This is one of our longest news posts ever! So much has been going on lately it's been crazy!

First off and starting with a bang. STRUGGLE skateboards Am DIEGO NAJERA officially has a FKD bearings TRIPLE THREAT video commercial feature. 360 flip crooks? Wasn't that the big banger in Street Dreams the movie? Diego did it on this massive ledge in less than 3 tries!

Diego also landed the cover of the RedBull video from the Triple Set contest they threw in Del Mar recently. Check out the epic photo! And video following it. As far as the contest went Diego killed it and we feel he got robbed from the win. We shit you not Diego did a 360 flip nosegrind on the round rail during the contest! How did that not get ranked top 3?

On a side note of unfortunate events DIEGO NAJERA recently suffered a broken arm while getting some footage in San Diego,Ca. It is confirmed that he will need some plates put into his arm which just goes to show how bad the break was. Diego is one of the gnarliest skateboarders to ever step foot on a board. We wish him the best and a speedy recovery. His part in the "SWORN" video is going to be mind exploding!

STRUGGLE skateboards Pro RUBEN NAJERA took 1st Place in the ACTIVE Huntington Beach, Ca Game Of Skate last month! Going head to head in flatground battles against Orange County's finest flatground skateboarders is no easy task so big ups to Ruben for the victory!

Lastly we got our recent Imperial Valley Rally 2011 winners Team S.O.E. (skateboarding over everything) Isaac Awan and Nick Quines. Isaac is a current RDT team rider of ours and killed it in the contest alongside Nick Quines who is now the newest member of the RDT team. Welcome to the team Nick and big ups to team S.O.E. for the win you guys deserved it.

2nd place honors went to team Holtville from Holtville,Ca. Below is Erik and Jamie who killed it in the contest as well. They did an outstanding job and racked up a ton of points.

1st place: S.O.E. (skateboarding over everything)

2nd place: Team HOLTIVLLE

3rd place: Team FS

On the same day as the IVR contest announcement we held the world famous STRUGGLE showdown game of skate contest. This year our 2 finalists were repeats of the previous year which made it super interesting. The game even got down to S.K.A.T. which was as close as you could get to a clincher. In the end RAUL CRUZ took his first victory at STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN 2011! He is the current Imperial Valley Game of Skate champion!

On this very same day we had a spontaneous high ollie contest and Raul Ojeda took 1st place with a 6 board ollie. Jordan Johnson and Alex Pineda came close and landed top honors alongside Raul.

That's right the STRUGGLE skateboards "ALL ABOARD" tour has officially got its first major stop! Its going to start off with a bang in Mexico! Mexicali B.C to be exact for our good friends over at GRAFF ZONE skateshop. Come on out and meet the Struggle skateboards team and take part in the filming of our "ALL ABOARD" tour video. First off our good friends at DRISCOLLS skateshop are finally releasing "BEAUTIFUL DISASTER" . The Premier is FRIDAY THE 13th of May 2011. That same day the video hits store shelves. Struggle team riders RUBEN NAJERA, DIEGO NAJERA, ANTHONY PROPPS, and RAUL CRUZ all have full length parts. There are also some cameos in a friends montage from Struggle RDT riders Angel Marin, Isaac Awan, and Jamie Higgenbottom. This video is ground breaking and for sure deserves to be be added to your skate video collection! It will include Bonus footage and select DVD's have FREE deck coupons hidden within them.

Also its that time of the year again! IMPERIAL VALLEY RALLY 2011. For the 5th year in a row we will be holding down the world famous skate scavenger hunt and its FREE for all to enter!

Struggle Skateboards headquarters is officially in Orange County. We are busy getting our office and warehouse organized at the moment and filming on the SWORN video is still in progress. Effective as of March 1st, 2011 Struggle Skateboards worldwide headquarters is officially launched.

Struggle Skateboards Pro RUBEN NAJERA got the cover of the new POWERBAR triple threat bar boxes for the year 2011. We will keep you in the loop as to when it drops in stores. As for now you can find his current one in all Ralphs, Wal Mart, Target, Rite Aid, and select CVS stores throughout the United States. Check out the video below for a behind the scenes look into the photo shoot.

Also Ruben now rides for Clutch Clothing and has a pro signature T-Shirt line dropping within the next few months. He also recently moved up to Orange County.

HAPPY NEW YEARS to everyone! 2010 was a great year and 2011 will be even better! We will be updating you all with the progress on our full length "SWORN" video soon. There is a long story behind the delay on the release to the video but to sum it up the entire video is going from standard mini dv clips to full HD. So pretty much everything is getting re-filmed and one upped.

In the meantime we do have a bunch of new product out for Winter 2011. Including our new RUBEN NAJERA Design A Pro Deck contest board entry which was put into production and is on sale RIGHT NOW!!!!

The winner is TONY LEARD from TEXAS. His graphic was chosen out of hundreds to be put into production and due to the successful and awesome turnout of this contest we are going to make sure we do one every year from here on out!

Ruben also just got back from Houston Texas with younger brother and Struggle Am Diego Najera. They were at the Es Game of Skate world championships at the Make A Wish event at South Side skatepark.

And speaking of the Es game of Skate finals. Struggle Skateboards Am DIEGO NAJERA got 2nd in the world championships. Diego was the current world title holder and even though he missed defending it by a single trick we are absolutely proud of him. Great job Diego! On Go Skateboarding Day we had a kickflip challenge in Holtville,CA. Holtville local KEVIN took the 1st place win with 75 consecutive kickflips. 2nd place went to Alex from Calexico,CA with 25 kickflips. And 3rd place went to Ryan from Niland,CA with 23 kickflips.

TYRONE OLSON just got back from Tampa Pro representing Struggle Skateboards in full effect. Tyrone placed 46th out of the 82 street qualifiers. Raul Cruz won the best trick competition at the Scoff event at Driscolls. The event was for Ruben Najera's Pro signature shoe lace release. Scoff held a best trick contest on a mysterious ramp and the winner got to keep the entire thing. Raul took first place honors and this awesome pyramid box. Congrats little man. Raul also left with a stack of cash at the Struggle Dollar Hollar competition.

If Feldman and Johnny Whitehead are featured on the newest back cover of the Struggle catalogue for Spring 2010. So if you see them around and you happen to have a copy get them to autograph it for you!

RUBEN NAJERA has a new Struggle Skateboards ad in the February 2010 issue of Transworld Skateboarding. He is busting his butt for the new "SWORN" video due out in March or April of 2010.

Ruben also has been featured in the first episode of a new show called "The Xchange". Ruben goes artist on artist with musician Blake Lewis discussing skateboarding and the art of beat boxing. The episode is rad and an epic beat box collaboration takes place between the two. Shout outs to Blake Lewis for spreading the word out about Struggle Skateboards through his Twitter account. As seen in the Transworld News section today! The West Coastin Tour is coming up!
We will be doing a west coast tour with 4 different stops at some of our finer retailers in California. We call it the "WEST COASTIN" tour. And its going to be off the hook.

First stop will be at Elyzium surf & skate in San Diego,CA for an autograph signing.

Then we will be at Driscolls in El Centro,CA for an autograph signing/skateboarding demo. This is also the final stop of the Valley Voyage tour so its going to be HUGE!

We then have a skateboarding demo/autograph signing at SHELTER skateshop in Fullerton,CA. And the following day after a stop probable stop at Ghost skateshop back in San Diego,CA for an autograph signing.

So if your in the area be sure to head on out. We will be turning the entire documentation of the "West Coastin" tour into a DVD so be sure to roll up and be a part of it.

The Imperial Valley Rally entries are in and currently being looked over and judged at the moment. Stay tuned for an announcement as to where the "Award Ceremony" will be held. It will probably be done in conjunction with another event as well.

Speaking of events this upcoming weekend (Saturday June 6th) you can find some of our Struggle riders doing a demo for you over at the Imperial Valley Fairgrounds. The demo is indoors and is part of an IVROP event is going down hand in hand with the city.

The "BRAND SPANKING NEW" Struggle Skateboards website is done as you may very well have already checked out! It took a while but we are proud of the outcome and the new look. For those of you that have never heard of the IMPERIAL VALLEY RALLY its a 10 day scavenger hunt throughout the entire Valley mixed with all kinds of tasks ranging from skateboarding tricks to silly stunts. You film everything and turn in your footage on the due date. All tasks are worth different amounts of points. The team with the greatest amount of points wins. Its probably the funnest contest in the history of mankind. AND ITS FREE TO ENTER! So dont miss out people!

Also the following day after we got the celebration release of Ruben Najera's "Vacation" deck.

NEW SPRING 2009 check it out!

We can’t thank all of you supporters enough. Thank you to all that came out to the 8th installment of our Valley Voyage tour in Brawley, CA. Massive THANK YOU to CVZ for helping throw in prizes! Local skateboarder Diego Najera took $52.00 in cash for first place down the stairs and also took the Gold in the “Pyramid battle”. 2nd place honors went to James Devera (pyramid) and Flippy Zendejas (stairs). 3rd place honors went to Struggle RDT rider Mariano Valenzuela (pyramid) and James Devera (stairs).

We have the Calexico Valley Voyage tour stop coming up next as well as the legendary Imperial Valley Rally contest which for those of you that aren’t familiar is a massive scavenger hunt. Both of these events will go down in May so you Imperial Valley heads be on alert. But going down first is the Calexico stop. You ready?

The "BEST 3 TRICK LINE" contest will consist of riders throwing down 3 trick lines. A trick on the rail followed by a flatground trick and one final trick on a 9ft long box. This should be real fun! Good Luck to all!

Coming up even quicker than the Calexico Valley Voyage stop is a Beat Battle we are sponsoring! Our boy G-ROCKA is the man behind the entire event. We have begun to sponsor a few musicians. Congratulations to TIM HOLBORN from Anaheim Hills, CA for winning 1st place at this weekends 3rd annual STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN in front of Driscolls skateshop. 2nd place went to Victor Singo from San Diego,CA. And 3rd place went to Nick Quines from El Centro,CA. There were close to 200 hundred entrants. And there were hundreds more spectators there throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone that came out. Massive thank you to all the supporters and skaters that showed up repping Struggle decks. Also a huge thank you to all the sponsors of the event. Fingerflips are allowed if you can do them without touching the ground with your foot.

ANTHONY JOHNSON has been killing it lately. Remember the name. You will be seeing alot from him in the months to come. Expect a full length part from Anthony in the new Struggle video in the works as we speak.

RUBEN NAJERA has been doing some more Hollywood work lately. His latest being an appearance in the new music video for American Idol winner David Cook. Check out the "Light On" music video. Yes, that is him on the skateboard rolling up right in the beginning. He also pops up a couple other times in the video.

RUBEN NAJERA recently suffered a gnarly concussion. Hes going to be out for a few days but should be back by the time the Holtville Valley Voyage stop comes around. He also sent me in some rad photos of him at the Sneaux shoes boothe at the ASR tradeshow where he had a full sized banner with more than a few awesome photos featured on it.

On top of that he also pulled off the FRONT COVER of the latest PETER GRIMM catalouge. With a photo taken than none other than our very own photog:Obeso.

If you happen to have a copy of the catalouge flip through the pages and you will find that Ruben has landed a gripload of photos within the mag as well. Even a hefty Table of Contents sequence photo.

Be sure to keep checking back for updates and what we call the "Big 4" are coming up after the Holtville stop. Calipat,Brawley,Calexico, and the grand finally in El Centro are all on the way for the Valley Voyage tour. Those four stops will be the biggest of them all. Also the world famous and annual STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN is coming up this November. Maybe December. We will see how fast we get things together. You know its going to be big though! We keep shit legit!

Welcome to the first ever Struggle Blog/News section. We will be updating this page alot so keep your mind tuned into it as often as possible.
