Here it is people. The official teams list for the 2009 STRUGGLE skateboard Imperial Valley Rally 3. May the most dedicated team win!

For those of you that have never heard of the IMPERIAL VALLEY RALLY its a 10 day scavenger hunt throughout the entire Valley mixed with all kinds of tasks ranging from skateboarding tricks to silly stunts. You film everything and turn in your footage on the due date. All tasks are worth different amounts of points. The team with the greatest amount of points wins. Its probably the funnest contest in the history of mankind. AND ITS FREE TO ENTER! So dont miss out people!

Also the following day after we got the celebration release of Ruben Najera's "Vacation" deck.

Pizza and sodas on his tab homies! While supplies last... Come on out for a good day of fun times and skateboarding. Check out the new deck and chill with some Struggle riders. FUN FUN FUN!!!! Oh yea and theres going to be a SK8 DICE competition so bring your hustling game. Raffle tickets and Struggle boothe in full effect as well!

STRUGGLE UPDATE #10

NEW SPRING 2009 check it out!


We can’t thank all of you supporters enough. Thank you to all that came out to the 8th installment of our Valley Voyage tour in Brawley, CA. Massive THANK YOU to CVZ for helping throw in prizes! Local skateboarder Diego Najera took $52.00 in cash for first place down the stairs and also took the Gold in the “Pyramid battle”. 2nd place honors went to James Devera (pyramid) and Flippy Zendejas (stairs). 3rd place honors went to Struggle RDT rider Mariano Valenzuela (pyramid) and James Devera (stairs).

We have the Calexico Valley Voyage tour stop coming up next as well as the legendary Imperial Valley Rally contest which for those of you that aren’t familiar is a massive scavenger hunt. Both of these events will go down in May so you Imperial Valley heads be on alert. But going down first is the Calexico stop. You ready?


The "BEST 3 TRICK LINE" contest will consist of riders throwing down 3 trick lines. A trick on the rail followed by a flatground trick and one final trick on a 9ft long box. This should be real fun! Good Luck to all!

Coming up even quicker than the Calexico Valley Voyage stop is a Beat Battle we are sponsoring! Our boy G-ROCKA is the man behind the entire event. We have begun to sponsor a few musicians. Dudes that got our back and that we gladly take care of as well. We proudly endorse G-ROCKA and his journey to fame. Below is the event flyer. RUBEN NAJERA has been on a contest winning streak lately. He took 2nd place in the “Manual Pad” competition at the legendary HOOD GAMES in Long Beach, CA. He had quite an impressive group of judges to impress. Karl Watson, Terry Kennedy, Peter Smolik, Darrell Stanton and Walker Ryan just to name a few.


Ruben also got 1ST place in his local hometowns annual Game of S.K.A.T.E. thrown by our good friends over at Driscolls skateshop.




On top of all this he has a new ad out in Transworld Skateboarding for Sneaux shoes. You can find it in the May 2009 issue. He is one of the established West Coast team riders for Sneaux shoes.

We would like to give a huge apology for the missing Struggle Sunday episode this past weekend.
Struggle Sundays will be back this upcoming weekend! Things have been super crazy lately. We have tons of new events on the way. NEW product! A new website! A new video! Even a new batch of rider additions.
On top of all the crazy changes we also have a new emblem/logo. The newest Struggle ad is a fine example of the direction we are going. Also be on the lookout for the brand spanking new STRUGGLE tent we will be hauling around to all the upcoming events. Alongside with it you can look forward to our very own "Struggle Wheel" as well. Think wheel of fortune but with product prizes instead of money. There are to many new things to come from us in the future. We want you all to be a part of it. We have four more stops on the Valley Voyage tour left. Next up is Calipatria,CA for what we like to call the first ever STRUGGLE GAMES!!! Basically a bunch of fun events in one day will take place. STRUGGLE UPDATE #7

Congratulations to TIM HOLBORN from Anaheim Hills, CA for winning 1st place at this weekends 3rd annual STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN in front of Driscolls skateshop. 2nd place went to Victor Singo from San Diego,CA. And 3rd place went to Nick Quines from El Centro,CA. There were close to 200 hundred entrants. And there were hundreds more spectators there throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone that came out. Massive thank you to all the supporters and skaters that showed up repping Struggle decks. Also a huge thank you to all the sponsors of the event. ASHBURY eyewear, DML clothing, and NATURE hardware were kind enough to put in alot of the prizes for the contest. Make sure to support those awesome companies. We will have footage up of the contests final round up soon so keep checking back. Also next up we have a "Highest Ollie Contest" which will go down in our Calipatria city stop of the Valley Voyage tour sometime in February.

TYRONE OLSON has been busy lately filming for the new "Troubleshooters" video over in the East Coast. On top of that he is heavily racking up the footage for the highly anticipated Struggle video due in the near future.

RUBEN NAJERA has been welcomed into the flow program over at S-ONE helmets. Ruben has been rocking those S-ONE foot impact insoles since forever as well.

ANTHONY JOHNSON is plagued with the snow at the moment over in Utah. But he still managed to get some pretty sweet clips for a future Struggle Sundays episode in. Be on the lookout for that sometime soon.

Rigo Soto is out at the moment with a bruised foot. He is currently hibernating and attending junior college. He will be back on his board in no time.

Tim Holborn is the newest member of the Struggle RDT program. He won the STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN and we welcomed him onto our team with open arms. Welcome to the squadron Tim.

Mariano Valenzuela has been tearing it up with the Struggle Sunday footage. Never disappoints. Catch him half cab flipping to a town near you soon.

Flippy Zendejas is back on his board and we are stoked.

Wisconsin Neal, Aron Lawrence, and Nick Rodriguez are all currently getting footage for the Struggle promo which should be out in hopefully about a month. Stay tuned for more updates!
