The 2008 STRUGGLE SHOWDOWN is finally here.
This year we have three wonderful sponsors helping us out and donating a mass amount of prizes to the winners and in the product toss.

HUGE thanks to them!! Support every one of those companies above! All of them care about the local Valley scene! Also support your local skateshop DRISCOLLS! They were awesome enough to lend us their parking lot to do this spectacular event. They have always backed us and we will always back them 100%. If you live in the Imperial Valley be sure to go by Driscolls to get all your skateboard supplies and gear.
We also have tons of different prizes from the shop that will be raffled off for $1.00.
We are talking the possibilities of leaving with a skateboard deck for a dollar. GNARLY! I know!
Also a fact not mentioned on the flyer is that the TOP 5 competitors with a STRUGGLE deck get a FREE raffle ticket as well. So even if lets say 30th place was the 5th person with a Struggle deck. That would then mean that he would leave with a raffle ticket and possibly end up winning a free deck! Pretty rad! So rep that Struggle.
And of course as mentioned on the flyer. And yes it is true. WE WILL BE SPONSORING THE WINNER!!!! If he or she chooses to accept it. We will hook them up on the team and help them get their skateboarding career to take off!!!

Remember this is the biggest GAME OF SKATE in the entire IMPERIAL VALLEY so bring your A game homies!!!
On top of this its also vital to mention that all matches will be chosen at random. No one will be pre set up. And there are no age limits. Nowadays even the smallest dudes are ridiculously good.
GAME RULES:
NO GRABS
NO TRICKS IN WHICH YOUR FOOT TOUCHES THE GROUND (fastplants,no complys,etc)
NO PRIMO TRICKS
NO MANUALS
NO TOE DRAGS (more lenient towards the defending side)
NO HANDS ON THE GROUND
Fingerflips are allowed if you can do them without touching the ground with your foot.

Also there will probably be FREE Monster energy drinks there. Maybe some Lost energy drinks as well. And a possible Sk8mafia team signing in the morning.
